An artist is a person with talent and skills to conceptualize and make creative works. Such individuals are singled out and prized for their artistic and original ideas. Their works of art can take many forms, such as architecture, ceramics, digital art, drawings, mixed media, paintings, photography, prints, sculpture, and textiles.
James Abbott McNeill Whistler was a nineteenth century artist who wanted that artisans must be allowed to freely follow their own creative voices and pursuits. He strived for “Art for art’s sake”, where an artist could create art that served no other purpose than to express what s/he believed to be elevating, harmonious, and pleasing to the eye, the mind, and the soul.
Beauty captivates and leaves us speechless. Whether we’re looking at a painting, a sculpture, reading a great book or listening to some good music, we’re being flooded with emotions that are hard to describe. We feel the same when we look at an exquisite piece of hand painted furniture.
Our mission is to recognize the newest field of furniture artistry by bring the artisans of this field, together. There are numerous talented furniture artists around the world and to appreciate them is crucial. By acknowledging them, we will give a new lease of life to this field.
“Artisan Signature” is a program launched by Phenomena Paints to acknowledge these artist’s work by creating colors of their choice and producing them for their admirers.
We had it on our bucket list for quite some time, but you have to be at the right place at the right time to initiate such a program. Finally we are here, and we can make a difference.
